It takes a certain breed of photographer to shoot weddings, and do it well. Apart from having an artful eye and the reflexes of a sports shooter, you've also got to love what you do -- creating beautiful imagery for couples and families who are entrusting you with their priceless memories. 

Aside from technical expertise, you also have to know what to anticipate and how to read people; for example, how to calm down a nervous bride, or -- even more so -- a nervous mom. Most of all it's knowing when to speak up and when to blend into the background, in order to capture uninhibited moments.

Over the past ten years of photographing weddings, I've grown more and more passionate about telling love stories through my lens. I really love it when I connect with my clients and their families, some of which turn into life-long friends. When it's time for the big day, it's important that they feel comfortable and confident that I'll be able to accurately capture their unique story in a beautiful way.

Se necesita cierta clase de fotógrafo para fotografiar bodas, y hacerlo bien. Aparte de tener un ojo artístico y los reflejos de un fotógrafo de deportes, también se debe amar lo que se hace - y, de este modo, crear bellas imágenes para parejas y familias que están confiando en ti con sus recuerdos invaluables.

Además de los conocimientos técnicos, también hay que saber qué esperar y cómo leer a las personas, por ejemplo, la forma de calmar a una novia nerviosa, o - más aún - una madre nerviosa. Por encima de todo es saber cuándo hablar y cuándo dar un paso atrás, con el fin de capturar los momentos más desinhibidos.

En los últimos ocho años de estar fotografiando bodas, me he apasionado cada vez más por contar historias de amor a través de mi lente. Me encanta cuando me conecto con mis clientes y sus familias, algunos de los cuales se convierten en amigos de por vida. Cuando llegue el gran día, es importante que se sientan cómodos y asegurados de que voy a ser capaz de capturar su historia única con sinceridad y de manera artística.
