Northern California Wedding Photographer | Calistoga French Oak Ranch Wedding for Caitlin & Collin

Friends and family from all over the world gathered in Calistoga, Northern California for the ranch wedding of Caitlin and Collin. This lovely couple began their love story when they were introduced to each other in San Francisco by a mutual friend.

Coming from a family of musicians, the bride's sister sang for the bridal march.

Set against the sunny hills of the French Oak Ranch, the couple exchanged vows on June 6th, 2019 (pre-pandemic times, how we miss them!) in front of an intimate crowd. The ceremony was officiated by the groom's family friend.

The bride’s brother also read a love poem by Jackie Kay called A Lang Promise:

“ I’ll carry ma lantern, and daur defend ye agin ony foe;

and whilst there is breath in me, I’ll blaw it intae ye.

Fir ye are ma true luve, the bonnie face I see;

nichts I fall intae slumber, it’s ye swimming up

in all yer guidness and blitheness, yer passion.”

After the ceremony, celebrations commenced with cocktails and a mouthwatering grazing table while the couple’s relatives played live music for entertainment. 

Seeing the guests sipping on their drinks under their parasols was a picture of a perfect summer day.

Elsewhere on the ranch, Caitlin, Collin, and I were busy taking these beautiful photos.

For lunch, the guests were ushered into the barn house where each round table was named after a city in the US and Scotland, where the bride and groom are from respectively.

After the meal, friends and relatives of the couple gave beautiful speeches that left everyone either bursting in joyous laughter or with a tear in their eyes...

Then it was back to the glorious outdoors for dancing. :-)
